A 19th-century canal house transformed into one of Amsterdam's most intimate boutique hotels — where every room tells a different story.
Challenge
The hotel had 12 distinct spaces, each with its own guest profile and atmosphere. A single playlist served everything, flattening the experience and undermining the carefully crafted interior design.
Approach
We mapped each space independently — lobby, breakfast salon, bar, and six room categories — and built individual sound profiles for morning, afternoon, and evening. Playlists refresh nightly without any manual input.
Result
Guests began mentioning the music unprompted in reviews. The bar saw a 20% increase in dwell time in the first month. The general manager described it as 'the one thing we didn't know we were missing.'
